Rhein Fire has made a significant move just under three weeks ahead of their season opener against the Cologne Centurions. They've secured the talents of Hugo Klages, one of Germany's most promising football prospects. Klages, a 25-year-old Defensive Tackle, previously played for the University of Massachusetts Minutemen, marking his return to Europe after four years in the United States. Before his college career, Klages was associated with the Braunschweig Lions.
Standing tall at 1.89 meters and weighing a sturdy 128 kilograms, Klages possesses the physical attributes ideally suited for success at the highest level of European football. His addition further fortifies Rhein Fire's Defensive Line, which was already anticipated to be one of the league's strongest.
